Dr. Christakis is a sociologist and physician who conducts research in the area of biosocial science, investigating the biological predicates and consequences of social phenomena. He directs the Human Nature Lab at Yale University, where he is the Sol Goldman Family Professor of Social and Natural Science, and is the Co-Director of the Yale Institute for Network Science. He holds a B.S. from Yale University, an M.D. and M.P.H. from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Lakhani is Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School, the Principal Investigator of the Crowd Innovation Lab and NASA Tournament Lab at the Harvard Institute for Quantitative Social Science, and the faculty co-founder of the Harvard Business School Digital Initiative. His research examines crowd-based innovation models and the digital transformation of companies and industries, and how communities and contests can be designed and managed to achieve innovative outcomes. He earned his B.Eng.Mgt. from McMaster University, Canada, and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Crawford is a University Academic Fellow at All Souls College at Oxford University, where he is Drummond Professor of Political Economy. He specializes in game-theoretic microeconomics, with emphases on bargaining and arbitration, strategic communication, matching markets, learning, and coordination. His research areas are behavioural and experimental game theory, and behavioural economics more generally. He holds an A.B. summa cum Laude in economics from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Lerner is The Thornton F. Bradshaw Professor of Decision Science and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University. She also holds concurrent appointments as Special Advisor to the Chief of Naval Operations and as Chief Decision Scientist within the United States Navy. The first psychologist in the history of the Harvard Kennedy School to receive tenure, Dr. Lerner draws insights from psychology, economics, and neuroscience to elucidate human judgment and decision making. In particular, she and her colleagues have developed a theoretical model for predicting the effects of emotion on the content and depth of thought in judgment and decision making. She holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan Honors College and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
Daniel is the founder and CTO of Generable. Generable is the company behind Stan, the leading open source modeling tool for Bayesian inference with Markov Chain Monte Carlo sampling. Prior to Generable, Daniel was a research scientist in the Statistics Department at Columbia University. He received his master's from Cambridge University and his bachelor's from MIT in both computer science and mathematics.
Ricardo Silva is a professor of statistical machine learning and data science at University College London. He is a specialist in machine learning and in computational approaches for causal inference. He is also a Fellow at the Turing Institute, which is the UK's national institute for data science and artificial intelligence. Ricardo received his PhD from Carnegie Mellon in the newly formed machine learning department.
Marcus is a research scientist at Yale University's Human Nature Lab. He specializes in advanced predictive network models. He received his PhD from Harvard University in applied statistical models for health and social sciences. He also received his MPhil from Oxford University and a BA from Yale University.
Tony was senior vice president fo enterprise shared services at Bank of America. He was responsible for operational oversight and all shared operations and services for the bank. Prior to Bank of America, Tony was a leader in the mortgage division of Morgan Stanley. Tony also serves as an advisor to the financial services practice at McKinsey & Company.
Bill was an EVP and head of investment operations at PIMCO. He was responsible for Cash Desk, Collateral Desk, Derivatives Operations, Pricing and Valuation, Custodian Oversight, Back Office, Alts Operations, Accounting (IBOR and ABOR), SMA Operations, and Asset Setup and Maintenance. Prior to PIMCO, Bill was a vice president at Fidelity Investments, where he held positions in treasury, corporate services, and risk management.
Akbar is currently the chairman of the board of State Street Fund Services Ireland. Prior to this, he was SVP, global head of custody, at State Street Bank. Akbar was also an associate principal at McKinsey & Company. Akbar holds a master's degree in management sciences and engineering from Stanford University. He also holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Northwestern University.
