Dr. Christakis is a sociologist and physician who conducts research in the area of biosocial science, investigating the biological predicates and consequences of social phenomena. He directs the Human Nature Lab at Yale University, where he is the Sol Goldman Family Professor of Social and Natural Science, and is the Co-Director of the Yale Institute for Network Science. He holds a B.S. from Yale University, an M.D. and M.P.H. from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Lakhani is Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School, the Principal Investigator of the Crowd Innovation Lab and NASA Tournament Lab at the Harvard Institute for Quantitative Social Science, and the faculty co-founder of the Harvard Business School Digital Initiative. His research examines crowd-based innovation models and the digital transformation of companies and industries, and how communities and contests can be designed and managed to achieve innovative outcomes. He earned his B.Eng.Mgt. from McMaster University, Canada, and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Crawford is a University Academic Fellow at All Souls College at Oxford University, where he is Drummond Professor of Political Economy. He specializes in game-theoretic microeconomics, with emphases on bargaining and arbitration, strategic communication, matching markets, learning, and coordination. His research areas are behavioural and experimental game theory, and behavioural economics more generally. He holds an A.B. summa cum Laude in economics from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Lerner is The Thornton F. Bradshaw Professor of Decision Science and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University. She also holds concurrent appointments as Special Advisor to the Chief of Naval Operations and as Chief Decision Scientist within the United States Navy. The first psychologist in the history of the Harvard Kennedy School to receive tenure, Dr. Lerner draws insights from psychology, economics, and neuroscience to elucidate human judgment and decision making. In particular, she and her colleagues have developed a theoretical model for predicting the effects of emotion on the content and depth of thought in judgment and decision making. She holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan Honors College and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
